Agent Banking:

Agent Banking means providing limited scale banking and financial services to the underserved population through engaged agents under a valid agency agreement. The Agent is the owner of an outlet who conducts Banking transaction on behalf of a Bank.

SBAC Bank Agent Banking:

SBAC Bank has started its operation since May 25, 2022 from Narsingdi.

Eligible Entities to Become SBAC Bank Agent:

• Sole proprietorship business with valid trade license
• Any business entity having trade license from eligible authorities
• MFIs regulated by Microcredit Regulatory Authority of Bangladesh
• NGOs registered with Social Welfare Directorate
• Societies registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860
• Cooperative Societies formed and controlled/supervised under the Cooperative Society Act, 2001
• Government offices having branch/unit offices
• Courier and mailing service companies registered under Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications
• Companies registered under the Companies Act, 1994
• Agents of mobile network operators that fulfils the criteria
• Local government institutions
• Union Digital Centre (UDC)
• Agents of insurance companies that fulfill the criteria
• Any other entity which Bangladesh Bank may prescribe or authorize

• Two Passport Size Photos
• Valid Trade License
• NID
• Bank Solvency Certificate
• Bank Statement
• Tin Certificate
• CIB Report
• Police Verification
• Proposed Agent Outlet Photographs
